RC Lens launched the new jersey thanks to its fans  But no one had noticed until now

Two weeks ago some Lens fans showed up in the stands of the Stade Bollaert-Delelelis with never-before-seen home jersey teams. Actually today we found out how those jerseys were none other than Lens' upcoming home jerseys, made by PUMA and finally presented canonically through a shoot with the players. Last season was one of the best in the French club's history, with Lens having the best home record in Ligue1 and achieving Champions League qualification for next year, and it was from this that the idea for the launch of the new jersey was born. 

The "At our own risk" (À nos risques et terrils) campaign was created precisely to enhance the role of fans in the club's aesthetics and to play with the now-unmissable danger of "leaks" anticipating the official release of the jersey. In fact, some lucky fans were given a preview of jerseys made by PUMA for the 2023/24 season with which to go to the stadium at the home game against Ajaccio, without getting caught. Yellow with red sleeves and the sides emphasized by a dense alternation of red and yellow stripes, it renews without distorting the club's tradition. This is why the back of the jersey's collar bears the inscription "POUR L'AMOUR DU MAILLOT" (FOR LOVE OF THE SHIRT). It refers to a famous chant of the fans that emphasizes their unwavering support in all circumstances. And it is to them this year that the honor of wearing the new jersey first fell.
