Parma could soon leave Erreà

This could be the end of one of the longest and iconic partnership in Italian football

Parma could soon leave Erreà This could be the end of one of the longest and iconic partnership in Italian football

According to the rumor passed around this morning by Parma Today, the Ducal team is reportedly considering a resounding change of technical sponsor starting next season, switching from Erreà to PUMA. This would bring to an end one of the most enduring and iconic relationships in Italian football, which has accompanied Parma from 2006 to the present day in the perilous ascent from bankruptcy to Serie B. Sixteen long years during which the company from San Polo del Torrile, just outside the Emilian city, has worked closely with the ownership in reviving the profile of what has always been one of the most important teams in our league and of which it also holds a small corporate stake.

Making the decision, however, to break the more than 10-year relationship seems to have been the new U.S. owner Kyle Krause, who bought the Gialloblu club in the summer of 2020 from a string of local businessmen for a sum of around 100 million euros. An investment that now wants to go international, thanks to the entry of a global brand such as PUMA, now increasingly in the triad of the biggest technical sponsors along with Nike and adidas and historical sponsor of a Gialloblu legend such as Gianluigi Buffon. As of yet, no official communication has come either from the Gialloblu club or from Erreà, which has denied rumors of the alleged breach of contract since possibly Krause will have to pay a penalty. We await new news on what could be a historic divorce for Italian football.
