Learning how to run with Marcell Jacobs We were guests at the Nike Running is Never Done event along with Olympic champion

A swarm of kids runs from one side of Milan's Civic Arena to the other. Nothing strange since we are in one of the temples of Italian athletics, named in 2002 to the memory of Gianni Brera, except that at the center of the swarm was the world's number one sprinter, reigning Olympic 100-meter champion Marcell Jacobs. Special guest at the Nike Running is Never Done event, in collaboration with Fidal Lombardia, Jacobs led a workout with his coach Paolo Camossi with the youngsters present, explaining some of his methods for becoming the best sprinter in the world.

Amidst a thousand selfies and autographs then Jacobs took the stage set up in the center of the field, where stimulated by Gianluca Gazzoli's questions he talked about his life and career, from his first dream of going into space to the shoes given to him by Virgil Abloh after his Olympic victory in Tokyo. "Today was a great day for me, I was able to meet 300 boys and girls who like me love sports. They are the future, and having the chance to tell the story of the path that brought me here and train together an entire afternoon will remain a special moment for me." - said Jacobs - "My great desire is to be able to inspire young people to have a dream in life, whatever it may be, and dedicate all their strength and abilities to achieve it. Nothing is impossible!"

The event was also an opportunity to try out spikes and the new Road Running collection, like the ones Marcell Jacobs will wear in upcoming international races. A return to the past for Nike, which fifty years ago was founded on a running track by a sprinter and his coach, who chose Milan specifically to promote the values of sport through which to pursue their dreams.
