“Never Done”, l'impegno di Nike nel calcio femminile Abbiamo parlato con le interiste Rita Guarino e Marta Pandini dello sport come fonte di ispirazione

Nike is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and reconfirming again and again how sport is an inspiration, a community generator and a platform for promoting positive change, for athletes and for the world itself. And at an ongoing event in Milan, the swoosh once again gave further proof of how it wants to facilitate access to sport for all athletes. A goal that the American brand concretely wants to achieve, and for that very reason in its latest campaign it used the "Never Done" claim to inspire athletes everywhere to believe that progress is possible. And precisely through the continued promotion of sports participation in the city of Milan, Nike confirms its commitment to motivate athletes to exceed and improve their goals in sports and in life.

In fact, after investing in the Women's European Championships at the end of July and in Italian women's football with Nike Flight, the official ball in the Women's Serie A, the brand launched the Milano Cup 2022 event, a women's tournament to be held from September 19 to 22 at the Enotria Sports Center and featuring athletes between the ages of 16 and 20. Nike thus continues to support women and create new opportunities for current and future generations of girls playing the sport as Inter coach Rita Guarino confirmed to us. "It is clear more can always be done, the process has only begun. Initiatives like these give light and visibility to a world that is still under water right now. We need to bring to light a sport that must become the norm and be practiced by all women as it is in other countries around the world. And we need to be inspired by those countries that over the last 20 to 30 years have really re-educated in the sport and brought hundreds, thousands of girls to play the sport. We are still lagging behind, I repeat the journey has only just begun, but with these initiatives and this visibility we can really hope to expand everything more and more."

A perspective also shared by Inter midfielder Marta Pandini: "women's football is changing positively, the quality of players is improving and they are definitely increasing. A demonstration is the youth sector of Inter, it has a very large team and if I think back to when I played, everything has absolutely changed. Women's football in Italy is changing you can also see it from the standings, it's been a few days but many clubs are growing, becoming more and more competitive."
