Spezia's third jersey in collaboration with the Cinque Terre National Park

Spezia's third jersey in collaboration with the Cinque Terre National Park A choice that strengthens the relationship between team and territory, which is increasingly present in Italian football

Spezia finally showed off the third jersey that will accompany the Ligurian team this season with an event organized by the Cinque Terre National Park, which collaborated in the creation of the kit, reinforcing a relationship between football and the territory that is growing stronger in the Italian scene. A partnership strongly desired by both the president of Spezia Philip Raymond Platek Jr and that of the park Donatella Bianchi, with the aim of safeguarding and promoting the excellence of a unique territory while also addressing the new generations, which are very sensitive to such issues.

So we boarded the boat of the Cinque Terre Golfo dei Poeti Maritime Tourist Consortium to attend the joint press conference and presentation of the jersey signed by Acerbis, which has been alongside the Ligurians for years in their stay in the top Italian league. The choice fell on a very unusual design for the La Spezia club, which has usually shown a preference for monochromatic and extremely clean uniforms. In this case, however, the jersey shines in an intense yellow, chosen as the universal color of Gen Z, on which colored brushstrokes have been spread in every direction.

Luca Scafati, the Chief Revenue Officer of Spezia Calcio, explains how they worked on a jersey that could synthesize so many of the ideas and ambitions we had in mind. "First of all it had to be an expression of this magnificent territory, with its colors, its light, its energy. At the same time, we wanted it to wink at the younger generation because among the many goals we have is to bring more and more young people into the sport, and together with the Park we want to talk about physical activity, the outdoors, and healthy lifestyles."

"The idea of the jersey came together as soon as we started talking with Cinque Terre Park, and later with our technical sponsor Acerbis, to make a third jersey that would follow the new trend and dare beyond the standards followed for the first two game uniforms. Then we are an American company and the Cinque Terre is well known overseas, being a park visited by more than three million tourists every year, so it became a way to extend the internationality of our brand. In addition, football is an incredible sounding board that can help promote the excellence and particularities of each Italian territory, rich in history and traditions, creating synergies between sports associations and local municipalities and provinces."

The new jersey will make its debut in Turin, against Juventus, and the starters' jerseys will immediately go up for auction to support projects chosen with great sensitivity by Park. The first fundraising project will be for the creation of the "gateway to inclusivity in the Park," a space for activities in nature, fully accessible to all, on the ridge between Cinque Terre and La Spezia, a symbol of supportive hiking.
