The Italian national team could return to the old logo L'ultima indiscrezione arrivata da adidas per celebrare al meglio l'inizio della partnership

If just a few weeks ago the arrival of a new logo for the Italian national team seemed a foregone conclusion, now everything seems to have suddenly turned upside down. The first rumours, in fact, saw the arrival of adidas of a new logo for the Italian national team that goes in the same direction as that of the FIGC, with the abandonment of the shield bordered in gold and the blue background for a more minimalist version in white with blue lettering and stars. Now, however, the rebranding no longer seems so obvious. According to the latest rumours, the German brand would be willing to bring back to the Azzurri shirts a logo that is very dear to the Italians, the one adopted in 1992 and kept until 2000.

The German brand therefore seems intent on bringing back Patrizia Pattacini's logo, which with its purely 90s design will try to take us back in time, hoping for yet another sporting revival. A logo that has gone down in history and is still impossible to forget, both because it has accompanied us through numerous championships and matches, and because of its design. The artist Patrizia Pattacinilo conceived it as a sort of stylised letter 'i' with a light blue dot at the top left; at the top were the three stars on a blue field, in the centre on a white field the full name of the Federation while at the bottom was the tricolour. A hypothesis that does not seem to be so far-fetched either, given that adidas has, over the course of this year, created several vintage collections, in some cases drawing some patterns and designs from the past for the new shirts.
