PUMA has unveiled the new jersey of the Italian national team It is the latest made by the German brand and will be worn for the first time in the Final Argentina at Wembley Stadium

The Italian national team's new jersey, the last made by PUMA before the already announced switch to adidas, was unveiled today, and will be worn for the first time in the Final against Argentina on June 1 at Wembley Stadium. The jersey is inspired by the four with which the national team has triumphed at World Cups, the two consecutive ones in 1934 and 1938, the Spanish one in 1982, and finally in 2006 under the sky in Berlin. A way to create an ideal bridge between the various generations of Italian fans, each with their own heroes and memories tinged with blue.

"Football jerseys are part of Italian culture. Style, fashion, history are the staples of an Italy jersey," said Marco Mueller, Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel. "The love of detail is important. The goal was to develop a stylish jersey that connects different generations of Italians and pays homage to the incredible history of Italian football and the passion of Italian fans."

For some, it will be the last Azzurri jersey worn, such as captain Giorgio Chiellini, who has already announced how this match against Argentina will be the last of his incredible Azzurri career. "This jersey will be the last one I will wear on the field when representing Italy. I am proud to be able to take the field at Wembley Stadium wearing the blue of Italy for the last time," said the national team captain. "This jersey will remain in my heart forever. As always, I will do my best to honor it."

The new jersey is available in two versions. The authentic jersey features ULTRAWEAVE performance fabric and DryCELL technology for maximum breathability, making it the lightest and most comfortable jersey ever made by PUMA. The replica jersey is made of 100 percent recycled polyester with DryCELL technology to ensure maximum breathability and keep the skin dry for the full 90 minutes and beyond, regardless of time, pitch or location.

Italy's new home kit is available on PUMA website, in PUMA Stores and at leading football retailers around the world.
