adidas created the world's first vegan football boots Stella McCartney and Paul Pogba designed the new Predator Freak

The idea was born last year during the pandemic, during a talk organised by adidas, Paul Pogba and Stella McCartney promised to create something together. A year later the new Predator Freak arrived, the world's first 100% vegan football boot, also made from recycled materials, which will be sold in a limited edition.

The shoes are predominantly white with purple and green graphics applied to the upper, while the sole will have iridescent details. On the back of the shoe is the logo of the British designer. The silhouette does not change, in the new Predator Freak there are the classic DEMOSKIN plugs, calibrated by an algorithm to allow better control of the ball and changes of direction while the upper is always made with PRIMEKNIT.

A collaboration that shows how two apparently distant worlds such as football and fashion are slowly getting closer, not only with boots but above all with jerseys. Something taken for granted, as Marchisio reminded us in our interview last week. The great maisons are the only ones to bring a bit of freshness to a world like football, which is often difficult to innovate.

The new shoes are available online, here.
