ULTRAWEAVE technology in the PUMA shirt of the Italian national team The German brand has broken all barriers by creating the lightest jersey ever

Today PUMA and the FIGC presented the new jersey of the Italian national team, featuring the new and very special ULTRAWEAVE technology. There's obviously no change to the beautiful Renaissance pattern of a jersey that will help Italy be even faster than they have been this summer, thanks to ULTRAWEAVE. The Azzurri will use it on 6 October in the Nations League semi-final against Spain and then it will also be worn by the women's national team. It has taken years of development and testing, but PUMA has created a jersey that weighs a scant 72 grams, minimising the number of seams and providing a new definition of speed, lightness and dynamism in a single item. In football, as in any other sport, every detail can make a difference, and PUMA has fielded a combination of fabric, pattern construction and finishing never seen before.

The lightweight fabric features a two-dimensional ripstop construction that remains durable while enhancing player movement and dramatically reducing weight. ULTRAWEAVE maintains performance, durability and breathability with temperature regulating properties to ensure optimal performance in extreme conditions. In line with the brand's environmental policies, the jersey is made of dryCELL recycled polyester and dries quickly and reduces water retention, allowing optimal performance in all weather conditions, even the most adverse. The prints of the team, federation and brand logos have also changed and are lighter and more breathable than the traditional ones.

A real feather in the cap for PUMA, which confirms itself as the fastest brand in the world with its technology that it is reductive to define only revolutionary. An important step of the German brand that has practically broken every barrier, both redefining some of the most important concepts and raising the level of performance of each athlete.

The new jersey will be available from 6 October online on PUMA's website, in FIGC online shops and at specialist retailers around the world.
