Giorgio Armani will design the new Napoli kits

Napoli is preparing for another revolution, the sporting one has already begun a few months ago with the arrival of Spalletti, the stylistic one is about to arrive. The news that the Neapolitan team has not extended the agreement with Kappa is now known, in recent months there have been many rumors, ended in nothing. As reported by several sources just this weekend, Aurelio De Laurentiis seems to have outlined his strategy for 2021-2022, the kit will be designed by Giorgio Armani and produced by Oni. Napoli will probably not have a technical sponsor on the uniform where only the team logo will appear, but nothing is official yet.

The president hopes that this strategy will bring more income to the club, also because according to this scheme Armani will not have any percentage on the earnings from the sale of the shirts, which will instead be shared with Oni, the company that deals with the distribution and owned by the second-born of the Neapolitan number one. This is not a new move, even in Serie A some teams had chosen to follow this path, although in different ways. Since 2018, Lecce, through its own brand M908, has been producing its own game kits; in the 2013-14 season, Roma had jerseys without sponsors that were self-produced during the transition phase from Kappa to Nike. The Azzurri club is preparing to inaugurate the era of self-production with the exclusive help of Giorgio Armani, who returns to the world of football after having designed the formal uniforms of the Italian national team.
