The EURO 2020 boots inspired by car manufacturers

The concepts of Lease Fetcher that unite national football teams and automotive brands

The EURO 2020 boots inspired by car manufacturers The concepts of Lease Fetcher that unite national football teams and automotive brands

The link between football and the automotive industry has always been close and over the years it has been strengthened thanks to many collaborations. In this period of anxious anticipation for the start of EURO 2020, Lease Fetcher has launched Concept Football Boots made by Car Manufacturers: Euro 2020 Edition, a project that unites the most representative car manufacturers and their nations. Since Nike and Bugatti teamed up to create a special shoe for the CR7, the world has rediscovered a link that has grown in popularity over the past 20 years thanks to sponsorship and advertising. One of the leading car leasing comparison sites has created five concepts based on the possible collaboration between soccer shoes and car brands.

The Italian national team has been compared to Ferrari, despite the huge number of car manufacturers based in Italy (just think of Maserati, Lamborghini, FIAT, Lancia, Alfa Romeo). The shoe is not red but takes up the blue colors of the national team, with the "Cavallino Rampante" near the tip of the boot. On the back, however, there is a co-branding logo with the four stars of the FIGC above the Ferrari crest.

The other four concepts are Volkswagen x GermanyJaguar x EnglandVolvo x Sweden and Peugeot x France. The connection of the German national team with VW is immediate, because Die Mannschaft has the Wolfsburg car manufacturer as a partner for over ten years. The shoe is adidas - and it couldn't be otherwise. Different reasoning for the English Three Lions, associated with Jaguar's "Big Cat" both in concept and in their ability to attack a game. The design of the boot combines the colors of the English national team, the representative jaguar of the car manufacturer and the cross of St. George, symbol of England.

Another immediate connection - for the same reason VW x DFB - is that between the Swedish national team and Volvo, two Scandinavian symbols of different sectors. Volvo has been a sponsor of Sweden football for many years and the ecological and sustainable transition is involving many Swedish players firsthand. Last but not least, the world champion national team: Lease Fetcher has thought of Peugeot for the French national team that has found Karim Benzema. The new logo of the Sochaux house on the Nike Mercurial fits perfectly with the French tricolor.
