Is there a collabo with Nike behind the workout organized by Colin Kaepernick? The American quarterback would have been wearing new sneakers, part of a collection not yet revealed

A few days ago we told you here about Colin Kaepernick and his announced return on the pitch, a workout scheduled for last Saturday in Riverdale, Georgia which would be attended by scouts from the NFL teams to test the physical conditions of the American quarterback. But the training initially planned on the Atlanta Falcons field has postponed and turned into a sort of private session held in another training center 60 miles away, attended by only 8 scouts of the 25 initially invited. A decision made necessary after the restrictions expressly requested by the major American professional league, to which Kaepernick refused to comply, in fact asking for greater transparency towards him.

"I’ve been ready, I’m staying ready, and I’ll continue to be ready. [...] Stop running from the truth, stop running from the people."

But the news that hit the most is that relating to the nature of this meeting, a public training that according to many seemed instead a much more articulated advertising operation orchestrated by Nike in view of a future collaboration, and for which the brand from Oregon need because of the willingness to get some video shootings to be used for the next launch campaign (not allowed by the MLB during workout initially planned). Kaepernick, who was also publicly criticized by so many American celebrities (also by Jay-Z himself, one of the promoters of his return to the field), was seen wearing a black model of Nike Air Force 1 Lows, with the K on the central tongue and a silhouette logo on the back, the same leaked on Instagram by colleague Eric Reid and that would be part of a commercial agreement with Nike already signed in 2018.
