The PUMA capsule for Manchester City's 125th anniversary

Four archival sneakers customized with the symbols of the English club

The PUMA capsule for Manchester City's 125th anniversary Four archival sneakers customized with the symbols of the English club

In the first season as sponsor of Manchester City, PUMA is trying to create merchandising designed for the pitch but thought for the fans. After the colorful jerseys that Guardiola's players will wear this season, Citizens have today released a capsule collection with four historic PUMA trainers. As with the retro jersey worn by the club during the Community Shield won against Liverpool, even the sneakers released today are a way to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the club.

The Blue Star Kippax model takes its name from the famous terraced stands at the club’s Maine Road stadium.
In the capsule, there are also two PUMA Crack sneakers, one in honor of the Ardwick Association Football Club - the old name of Manchester City - while the second dedicated to the title won in 2012 on the last match with the goal of Kun Aguero, the first PL title for the club. Last of the four models is the PUMA Bluebird Whitworth, designed to be worn on the stands of the Ethiad Stadium together with the Third Kit, inspired by the Madchester music scene and the former Haçienda club, a symbol of the city and epicenter of world music in the 80s. A look in full casual style, also confirmed by the campaign pics.

The PUMA x Manchester City 125 Anniversary Capsule will be available from today on Club's website.
