After analyzing the stats concerning Instagram, in the latest update of 'The European Football Club' report just released by IQUII Sport we could certainly not focus on the part dedicated to the technical brands used by the teams, all the 237 coming from the leagues of six different countries: Italy, England, Spain, France, Germany and Portugal.

The ranking, dominated by Nike and adidas respectively with 15.61% and 10.97% of the coverage, confirms the data of a few months ago, according to which Macron managed to get in to the podium of the most influential brands on the football scenario: the Italian brand is third among the most used ones, sponsoring 9.7% of all the clubs. Macron is present almost everywhere and dominates above all in Serie A, thanks to the current deal with Lazio, Bologna, Udinese, Cagliari and SPAL that make it the most dominant official supplier. Another great merit of the Emilia-based company is that it has managed to keep itself above a growing brand like PUMA, which attests to 'only' the fourth place with 8.86%. Counting them all, the sports brands that sponsor at least one club are 40: if top ten includes historical brands such as Umbro, Kappa and Hummel, there are also companies that are half-known, such as the Portuguese Lacatoni, very popular in Primeira Liga.

Still regard the brands, there is a very interesting infographic on the media exposition (on the main four social networks: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) of the brands in relation to the total fan base of 1.4 billion users: the very close duel at the top concerns adidas and Nike (534 against 524.4 million fans) that have traced a very deep groove against the 'pursuers', among which PUMA prevails with 160.2 million. Two facts deserve to be underlined: the magic moment of New Balance (+3.52%) which consolidates the fourth place following the recent results of his leading team, Liverpool FC; the growth of Erreà, the Italian brand that sponsors Parma and has gained a position, finishing immediately out of the Top 10 in the eleventh place.
