Eden Hazard presents the Nike Mercurial Ultra Flyknit Vapor

This morning Nike unveiled the all-new Flyknit Ultra boot from the Mercurial Vapor Family. The boots were presented by Chelsea's striker Eden Hazard that will wear them exclusively in the next games. Hazard during the presentation of the boots told his 15-years long relationship with Nike's Mercurial Vapor, following the main stages of his career.

Hazard seems amazed by the boots' look and comfort: “I said ‘Wow!’ because I think they look great and they are perfect for my style of football. I think these boots are special.” The boots came in two colorways: a black and metallic silver one and another one that combines a black base with gold details. From a technical point of view, the black and gold Nike Flyknit Ultra football boots have a one-piece Flyknit upper with a low-cut construction and horizontal ridges, similar to Mercurial Vapor 11 and Superfly 5. The boot sits on the outsole known from the current version of the Mercurial, which includes mostly chevron-shaped studs. Features-wise, the Nike Flyknit Ultra cleats are previews of what's to come for the 2018 World Cup. The Nike Flyknit Ultra football boots can be likened to the all-Flyknit Mercurial Vapor 12 that will be launched early next year.

Hazard has always been a pure fan of Nike's Mercurial Vapor. During the presentation of Nike Mercurial Ultra Flyknit Vapor, the captain of Belgium national team shared his favorite career moments, always bounded to the Vapor boots.

His first pair of soccer boots were the Mercurial R9, bought by his mother when Eden was still playing for his hometown's local team Braine-le-Comte. Another important stage of Hazard's career was the first cap in the professional football with Lille in November 2008 with the Mercurial Vapor IV on his feet. The big jump in the football was his moving to Chelsea in the summer of 2012. Hazard scored in the first exhibition game and first league game wearing the unmistakable contrast of the Clash Mercurial Vapor VIII. From that day there were many beautiful moments in blue and also shadows during the last Mourinho's season. There will be 2,500 pairs of the limited-edition Nike Mercurial Ultra Flyknit Vapor available in triple-black, and 1,500 pairs available in a black/metallic gold colorway.
