Nowadays, with the proliferation of football clubs’ social media, it's harder and harder to “hide” some little mistakes, like the one that apparently was committed by Nike. From England, in fact, arrived a funny tweet from Manchester City that, even if it was made without the intention of roasting the Swoosh, ended up that way nevertheless.

The tweet from the Citizens, in fact, was directed to a team from the League One, Northampton Town, that published on Twitter the picture of the club’s new third shirt, almost identical to Manchester City’s one from last season. Citizens' profile updated a picture (and then deleted it) of a box, with Northampton’s dress wrote on it. “Glad they got there alright”, it said.

For sure it wasn't a great situation, even if it’s not clear if the fault was Northampton’s - that could've probably chosen for another kind of colors - or Nike’s, for being less imaginative with its shirts. Apparently, football fans on twitter chose for the second hypothesis, blaming the American brand for a lack of creativity.

A case of superficiality from the Swoosh or carelessness from Northampton Town?
