Patagonia launches Patagonia Action Works in Italy

Patagonia continues to fight for the defense of the planet and, following its support for the Fridays for Future movement by closing its single-brand stores during the general strike of the past few days, is ready for the next battle to support the activists. The outdoor brand founded by Yvon Chouinard in 1973 is also about to launch Patagonia Action Works in Europe, a digital platform that allows networking between communities and local environmental organizations. The project, already a success in North America, will support the work of NGOs that address the most pressing environmental challenges, as Mihela Hladin Wolfe, Director of Environmental Initiatives of Patagonia, EMEA, explains:

"We have lost faith in world leaders and their willingness to act in time to stop the climate crisis. People want to know what they can do to contribute and this platform allows them to act in the communities in which they live. Patagonia Action Works allows us to fight for the issues that matter most to us."

The platform will also be presented at BASE Milan on October 3 at 19.00. The Patagonia Action Works Evening will be an opportunity to reflect on the environmental issue together with non-profit organizations, citizens struggling to save the planet and special speakers such as Stephanie Brancaforte, Director of Change.org Italy, Sara Capuzzo, President of è nostra, the scientist Luca Mercalli and Gianluca Pandolfo, Patagonia Sales Director EMEA. Tickets for the public are available here and the proceeds of the sale will be donated to charity to participating NGOs.
