The five most memorable moments of BRIT Awards 2017 Skepta, Katy Perry and much more

Last night the BRIT Awards 2017 took place, the 37th edition of the annual ceremony by the British Phonographic Industry who awards the international pop music musicians. They are compared to the American Grammy Awards and, like them, are always a greatly celebrated show. The London O2 Arena, which hosted the music event, was at the center of a memorable night, with very special guests and crazy performances, like those of Skepta, Katy Perry and The Chainsmokers. Among winners, there are Emili Sandé (Best British Female Solo Artist), The 1975 (Best British Group), Adele (Global Success), Beyoncé (International Female Solo Artist), Drake (International Male Solo Artist) and A Tribe Called Quest (International Group). David Bowie was honored with two posthumous awards, the Best British Male Solo Artist and the MasterCard British Album of the Year for his last work Blackstar. In case you missed something, here are the five most important moments of BRIT Awards 2017.

#1 Tribute to George Michael
At the beginning of the show, the singer recently deceased was honored with a series of images screened on the stage. During the night the Wham! bandmates Andrew Ridgeley, Pepsie and Shirlie gave a touching speech in tribute to their colleague and friend, deceased last Christmas. Finally, Chris Martin performed on stage singing the Wham! hit A Different Corner, while George Michael's image and voice accompanied him, creating a very emotional duet.

#2 Katy Perry
During the pop singer's performance with her hit Chained To The Rhythm, one of her dancers, dressed like a tiny house, fell down the stage. Moreover, during the show, two skeletons dressed like Donald Trump and Theresa May appeared on stage. Well, a "not-so-subtle" political message from Katy Perry.

#3 Skepta
The most anticipated performance for all British Grime fans tuned to the show. The rapper performed his hit Shutdown, but sadly some verses of the songs were censored, by making them muted for the audience at home, maybe because of the language considered unappropriated for the TV. Fans didn't like this trick.

#4 Ed Sheeran and Stormzy
The British musician surprised all BRITs audience with a performance of his songs Castle On The Hill and Shape Of You, sharing the stage with the rapper Stormzy.

#5 Robbie Williams
The night ended with the incredible Robbie Williams's performance, which was honored with the Brits Icon Award.
