"OUTTA LOVE" is the exhibition about broken hearts and rebirth Venice becomes a refuge for those who have suffered for love

OUTTA LOVE is the exhibition reflecting on desire, reinvention, identity, and the strange beauty that can emerge after an emotional fracture. Presented by Stallmann at Palazzo Vendramin ai Carmini during the 2026 Venice Biennale and inaugurated with a private preview on May 5 accompanied by an introduction by critic Blake Gopnik, followed by the opening on May 6. The exhibition brings together works by Angela Brandys, Darren Bader, Vivian Maier, Milko Pavlov, Jenny Saville, Daniel Spivakov, Wolfgang Tillmans, Lawrence Weiner and Francesca Woodman, spanning painting, photography, textile, installation and language to question what remains when intimacy breaks apart and the new forms that can emerge from its aftermath. Bodies appear as sites of memory and projection, garments become a second skin, while images seduce, dissolve, or refuse any clarity.
Within the layered interiors of Palazzo Vendramin ai Carmini, the exhibition, made possible through the support of Longanesi Cattani Art Projects, stages a dialogue between contemporary sensibilities and historical space. Rather than offering definitive answers, OUTTA LOVE keeps its questions open: love, loss, identity and perception remain fluid, unstable and constantly shifting. Through works belonging to different generations and artistic languages, the artists explore how we continue to inhabit ourselves after a rupture and how desire continues to shape us even when every certainty seems to disappear.
