Conceived by founder Mumi Haiati in 2019, Reference Festival celebrates its 6th edition, Infinitude, from September 6 to 13, 2022. It will be held in some of the city's most exciting venues and will activate the venues of their collaborator Schinkel Pavillon, kwia listening bar, partnership with Julia Stoschek Collection, and Borchardt's infamous second floor. By creating a deep connection between fashion week and art week, the Reference Festival once again emphasizes the intrinsic connection between the disciplines, tracing the central theme of interdisciplinarity. Fashion, while being the protagonist and fundamental within the festival, thus finds new fields of application that extend to the arts, film, music and performance.

The title Infinitude further reflects on the circularity of the present, a world in constant renewal. The goal is to illustrate the continuum that exists between the future, progress and evolution, without neglecting the concept of preservation, a theme on which the Reference Festival has reflected since its first edition. Commissioned by the Berlin Senate Department of Economy, Energy and Public Enterprises, Reference Festival continues to be part of Berlin Fashion Week.Among the names of designers and artists at the event are Gerrit Jacob, Anthon Raimund, Lukas StoeverJulian-Jakob Kneer Vaust, Sia Arnika, No Faith Studios, Kasia Kuchurska, Yein Lee, DLKK, Sally von Rosen, 4 fuck sake babe, AMESH. On September 9, however, there will instead be a live performance and film premiere Michéle Lamy x Matt Lambert and several activations will take place in the following days.
