The American dream according to ITA Airways

Thanks to ITA Airways' new MXP/JFK route, Milan and New York are closer than ever. To celebrate the opening of the new Milan Malpensa-New York route, ITA Airways has brought one of the most iconic and beloved elements of the States to the city: the hot dog. The quintessential American street food, representative of the American imagination as it evokes images of businessmen in suits queuing in front of the cart cornering Wall Street, lands in the Milanese metropolis ready to awaken our desire to discover new destinations after years of isolation within the walls of home. 

A soft sandwich from the Big Apple to remind us how blurred borders and distances are in the modern world and how NY is really just around the corner: from Friday 8 to Saturday 9 April, a New York hot dog cart branded ITA Airways will give away sandwiches to passers-by in a busy area of Milan with the aim of intercepting enthusiastic travellers ready to pursue, even if only for a short time, the American dream. A discount code will be available for everyone who attends the event and that can be spent on ITA Airways' MXP/JFK route, a route already inaugurated with the passenger flight to JFK from 2 April on an Airbus A330-200 flight, which took off from Malpensa airport at 1.40 pm and landed in the USA at 5 pm (local time, 11 pm in Italy).
