A fashion show to celebrate the 10 years of the work of Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy.

An event to bring together the family of models, stars and friends the designer has met and loved. Some members of this tribe? Maria Carla Boscono, Frankie Ryder, Mrs and Ms West, Marina Abramovic.

A free event, open to the public, with tickets sold through an auction or reserved for students of the leading fashion schools and residents in the area of the location.

Pier 26 at the Hudson River Park is filled with pathos, in a particularly mixed atmosphere that brings together stars like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West or Julia Roberts Kim Kardashian and Kanye West or Julia Roberts with common people, luxury fashion with a scenery recalling a Brazilian favela, masculine with feminine, white with black.

The opening performance directed by Marina Abramovic merges with the creations of Tisci in a poem that seems trascedental.

Tisci tells the love with art, the gestures and the purity that sometimes can hide in fashion.

The sun sets over the skyline embracing the Freedom Tower, while in a set of recycled materials Givenchy and Marina Abramovic celebrate with grace fashion, love and peace on the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

On the melody of the prayer of a Buddhist monk a series of living art installations alternate. There is a man climbing a ladder to the sky, the one with the tree, a woman crossed by the flowing of water and the couple performing a dance of hugs and detachments.

Everything is delicate, poetic.

As written by Abramovic it is an emotional experience, focused on the concepts of universal love, peace, freedom, humility and spirituality.
