There are designers who tell of a world constantly searching for that something unique and precious, destined to a few, very few indeed, their vision, made up of countless references, from the city lights through the precious embroideries and then finally land in the rooms of the Musée d'Arts Decoratifs, where splendid masterpieces emerge from the darkness, synthesis of the research of a lifetime.

An exhibition that mixes clothes and objects that inspired Dries Van Noten during his entire career. Inspirations is the first exhibition dedicated to the Belgian designer, just opened in Paris, a look at his world of dreams, art and traditional tailoring.

Dries was born in Antwerp in 1958, the city where textile production is prominent for centuries: parents owned a clothing store. The exhibition traces the evolution of his dreams, showing us in a unique and idyllic inspirations that have characterized some of the most memorable collections of recent decades.

A path of emblematic elements, combined with pieces of Elsa Schiaparelli and Dior, to the works of Damien Hirst and projections Kubrick : the world of Van Noten eighties to today.
