Vans and PALACE, international icons of fashion and skate culture, present the new Vans Low 2, a limited-edition collaboration that reinterprets the classic skate shoe through a contemporary and strongly distinctive aesthetic, already described by many as the possible «skate shoe of the year.» The model is born from the meeting between Vans’ Californian heritage and PALACE’s typically London-based irreverence, creating a low-top silhouette that combines technical performance and street language. The Vans Low 2 merges skateboarding and street style for a result that blends advanced functionality with an essential design.

The sneaker incorporates some of the brand’s most advanced solutions: PopCush™ insoles provide responsive cushioning and effective impact protection, while also improving board control. DuraCap™ inserts reinforce the areas most subject to wear, increasing the shoe’s overall durability without compromising its lightness. Completing the structure are SickStick™ rubber and the iconic Vans waffle outsole, key elements that ensure grip and stability.

The collaboration results in two exclusive colorways developed together with PALACE, enhanced by co-branded details that reflect the British label’s ironic and unconventional approach. The result is a sneaker that fits perfectly within the contemporary wardrobe: technical enough for the skatepark, yet versatile enough to become a standout piece in urban street style.

To support the launch, Vans and PALACE created the campaign S.S.O.T.Y: The Skate Shoes of the Year, an ironic reinterpretation of an awards ceremony dedicated to skate shoes. In the video, Vans Skate Team riders Danny Brady and Rory Milanes take part in an imaginary gala, blending performance and humor in a narrative that perfectly reflects the shared creative spirit of the two brands.

The Vans Low 2 by PALACE will be available online on the PALACE website and in the brand’s flagship stores starting February 27 in Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States, while the Asia-Pacific launch is scheduled for February 28.
