Milan bikers are the stars of MSGM's SS26 collection A collection that praises energy and dynamism
The MSGM Men’s SS26 collection, titled “I Feel the Rush”, represents an immersion into the world of bike culture, seen not only as a physical discipline but as an expression of identity, freedom, and personal style. Massimo Giorgetti explores the universe of the bicycle as a symbol of vital energy, a means through which one travels both external and internal territories, crossing through real and mental landscapes with the wind in one’s face and adrenaline flowing. The essence of the collection is a constant tension between physical endurance and emotional lightness. The bicycle is not only the thematic protagonist but also a visual metaphor: each piece is born from a journey, from a direct experience with the environment, from snapshots taken along actual cycling routes with the designer’s smartphone, later transformed into patterns, textures, and prints that document the memory of places.
The garments reflect this philosophy with an aesthetic that combines functionality and lyricism: jackets that break away from their classic formality, shirts that become technical jerseys, silhouettes that adapt to the body in motion. Materials are carefully selected with attention to athletic movement: ultralight technical nylons, treated Cordura to evoke the wear of time and weather, denim processed with effects reminiscent of grass, earth, and effort. Each fabric tells a story, each finish simulates direct contact with the landscape and the action. Color is charged with competitive and symbolic meaning: pink and yellow recall iconic cycling jerseys, evoking competition, fatigue, and glory.
The collection thus becomes a visual and tactile diary, an itinerary to be worn stage by stage, where each garment is a pause, a finish line, a moment of reflection or momentum. The collection’s very title is an invitation to feel the heart racing, the breath shifting rhythm, the sweat becoming a testament to vitality. The perforated mesh, bleach treatments on knitwear, and hybrid cuts speak of falls and comebacks, of authentic bodies pushing their own limits. There is no artificial spectacle: the lookbook is set on the streets of Milan and features, alongside traditional models, the bikers of the 24.7 collective in all their raw, unfiltered authenticity.
