O’Neill x BYBORRE's sustainable limited collection Cutting-edge textile engineering and innovative style

When Californian charm and Dutch technological innovation meet, a new way of approaching outdoor sport is born. With this collaboration, O'Neill, founded in 1952 for the most daring surfers, was given the opportunity to work in BYBORRE's textile laboratories in Amsterdam to create a sustainable capsule collection, the result of the two companies' commitment to give new life to waste components. Durability, lightness, and UV resistance: the VALBY fabric is 72% made from recycled plastic bottles, and best expresses O'Neill's characteristic trendy spirit thanks to BYBORRE's custom-made bespoke production techniques.

«The collaboration between O'Neill and BYBORRE is a perfect example of the power of combining different perspectives and expertise,» explains BYBORRE's commercial director Jeroen Panders, «Our partnership is a testament to the idea that collaboration can lead to greater success and impact than working alone.» The capsule, now available on O'Neill's website, is an exclusive partnership that includes shorts, jackets and sweatshirts for all genders, and aims to inspire new generations of designers to a responsible use of sustainable materials, as well as to reconfirm O'Neill's prominence in the field of surfwear.
