Haider Ackermann will be the new guest designer for Jean-Paul Gaultier

2022 is really Haider's year.

Haider Ackermann will be the new guest designer for Jean-Paul Gaultier 2022 is really Haider's year.

After the success of his red carpet looks in Venice and the announcement of his upcoming collaboration with Fila, Haider Ackermann's lucky year continues. Jean-Paul Gaultier has indeed announced that Ackermann will be the designer who will design the spring Couture 2023 collection for the historic French brand-the fourth collaborator after sacai's Chitose Abe, Glenn Martens, and Olivier Rousteing. Ackermann said:

«If one follows fashion, you follow Jean Paul Gaultier. I have enormous respect for how progressive and avant-garde his work has always been. He has always pushed the envelope in culture and society as a whole, above and beyond fashion».

Since Jean-Paul Gaultier retired from the scene, ushering in the guest designer format that sees an ever-changing creative director lead his or her own haute couture atelier, the historic fashion house has found new life with its annual show, which has become one of the most beloved events of Paris Couture Week.
