Gucci has announced a new co-ed show to be held next May in Europe and will be added to the show already scheduled during Milan Fashion Week that will go from 22 to 28 February and which marks the expected return of the brand to the city after a two-year break. No details have yet been released on the location, theme or name of the collection and should correspond, for location on the calendar and for the fact that it will be held in a European location undoubtedly spectacular, to a Cruise / Resort collection even if Alessandro Michele, in his Notes from Silence written in 2020, had underlined the intention to «leave behind the paraphernalia of leitmotifs that colonized our prior world: cruise, pre-fall, spring-summer, fall-winter».

The decision to organize a second show two months after the first corresponds to the desire of staging «irregular, joyful and absolutely free chapters which will be written blending rules and genres». After the success of the November show, it is clear that the brand still wanted to maintain its programming of location shows to be accompanied by the gradual return to the fashion shows that, presumably, will take place within the programming of fashion weeks. Nevertheless, being part of the group of giants of the fashion industry, Gucci does not really need to tie itself to this or that programming and could also choose for the coming months, post-pandemic, to continue to follow its own calendar.
