The best beauty looks of MFW

From Prada braids to the colourful eyeliner of Iceberg

The best beauty looks of MFW From Prada braids to the colourful eyeliner of Iceberg

The beauty looks of this Milan Fashion Week, except for rare cases, focused mainly on two elements: hairstyle and eyes. This season the hairstyle was pretty various, from Marni extra straight and extra shiny hair to the Wednesday Addams braids at Prada, to the gel look at Fendi, the real protagonist of the season is the gel. The extra touch is the hairpins, undisputed strongest street style trend of the last few months, and now spotted even on the catwalks, especially at Versace. And the eye make-up, above all in black tones, standing out from a natural and flawless skin, often in contrast with bright lips.

We've gathered here the best beauty looks spotted during this MFW.

Gucci

The beauty look at Gucci FW19 fashion show was characterised by the little white drops applied under the eye, representing small tears. Another detail that caught our attention was the nails, super long, without polish, featuring small black tattoos on the fingers.

Jil Sander

At Jil Sander the focus is all for the eyes: one strong, bold brush of black eyeshadow colours the entire eyelid, from the innermost point of the eye to the opposite side. Such a heavy and full look is counterbalanced by a smooth and natural base, without imperfections.

Fendi

The key word is gel: the hair, straightened and slicked back into pretty knots, is enriched on the front by small waves held thanks to the use of gel, for an extra shiny and severe finish.

Prada

This season Prada models walked with a very pale look, often even with bleached eyebrows. The only feminine detail was the hair, in two distinct styles: extra long braids or strict black bobs. There's no middle ground.

Moschino

With Jeremy Scott everything is extra, and this season the designer confirmed his over-the-top aesthetic. The theme of the collection, inspired by game shows like The Price is Right, reflect a '50s taste made of super big and fluffy hair. The make-up is characterised by eyeshadows in different tones topped with a line of black eyeliner, completing the look with fake eyelashes for a magnetic gaze.

Iceberg

In our reportage from the backstage of Iceberg fashion show, we brought you to the discovery of the beauty looks of the models. The absolute protagonist is the eye make-up, thanks to colourful eyeshadows and eyeliners, ranging from pink to blue, for pop and impactful finish. The hair, shaped with gel, can be modelled in many different styles, for an almost punk attitude.

Sportmax

At Sportmax, the make-up is pretty basic: nude make-up, peach lipstick, a few black lines on the eye, while the hair is straightened back.

Marni

The erotic and sensual creatures of Marni FW19 collection sport super straight and shiny hair along with orange or black eyeshadows, pairing them with total black lips. Erotism gets dark.

Versace

What for us was the best show of MFW won our most wanted award also because of the beauty look of the models, create by the queen of make-up Pat McGrath. The eyes are highlighted thanks to a black shimmer applied in the lower part of the eye, mat burgundy lips and, in the hair, hairpins with stones.

Salvatore Ferragamo

At Ferragamo the make-up is made above all of the burgundy lipstick, reflecting the nuances featured in the collection.

Missoni

The face is framed by two locks of super straight hair. The eye look is enriched by a thick brush of black eyeliner.

Giorgio Armani

The hair is divided into a great number of braids, the foundation, fresh and glowing, is the background of a unique eye look, characterised by two lines of black shaded eye shimmer applied under the eye, drawn freely, without having to be perfect.
