America Flag: the new Saint Laurent capsule

The maison with the most French DNA has always paid homage to the States. Saint Laurent launches American Flag, a capsule collection that, as the name suggests, reinterprets bags and small accessories with the iconic patterns of the US flag. The selection for the SS19 consists of eight pieces and includes a medium version of the College Bag, a small Kate Bag, a belt pouch, a Noe sport bag, a city backpack  and three variations of the Buffalo wallet. Complete the proposal a pair of white sneakers with red leather stars that adorn the upper. In fact, each product is characterized by the classic stars and stripes and the color palette of red, white and blue.

The capsule is already available from the first days of January on the Saint Laurent web store with prices ranging from $ 255 to $ 2,590.

Fun fact: Betsy Ross is remembered for having drawn the first American flag, but we know it, it only exists since 4 July 1960. It was introduced shortly after Hawaii became the fiftieth state of the nation. In its long history there have been a total of 27 official versions that varied when a state was added even though its thirteen stripes, representing the thirteen original colonies, remained almost unchanged.
