"Rebel, Rebel": the new film by Miu Miu and Mytheresa

Prada has been collaborating for years with directors with the likes of Wes Anderson and Willy Vanderperre to create visuals meant to bring the viewer inside the world of the brand. Now it's time for Miuccia's young and glamorous sub-label, Miu Miu, which, for the second time has joined forces with Mytheresa for a new short film, Rebel, Rebel. 

Two girlfriends with a rock soul and the 80's aesthetics are the protagonists of this 2 minute long video: Miu Miu women, dressed in black leather jackets and smokey eyes, enjoy themselves in a theme park surrounded by the strong lights of the big wheel and the hypnotic sound of the arcades. A setting that recalls the most famous 80s horror films, like The Funhouse and The New Kids, where the light and ephemeral location hypnotizes and drags the views into an ethereal dream. Oversized jackets, white boots, midi skirts from the AW18 collection are items that perfectly match the setting and the identity of the protagonists. 

The cherry on top? The feminist speech that Angela makes in front of her colleagues once the dream is over and she finds herself in a grey office surrounded by male co-workers. G Power.
