Paris Women's Fashion Week SS18 - Moodboard

Art, heritage, theatricality: these are the adjectives that featured the Paris Fashion Week just finished.

Many designers have chosen to pay homage to artists through their Women's SS18: Maria Grazia Chiuri for Dior celebrated the colorful art of Niki de Saint-Phalle; Undercover decorated his clothes with works by Cindy Sherman; while Comme des Garçons has created a mash-up between Arcimboldo and the world of Japanese manga; Rick Owens has reinterpreted Marinetti and Thayath; Dries Van Noten has been inspired for his fine patchwork dresses Femmes à leur toilette by Pablo Picasso.

For others, it was important to remember the history of their brands as did Carol Lim and Humberto Leon with The Kenzo “Momento” collection taking ideas from the archive of the 1970s of the founder of the Maison Kenzo Takada or Anthony Vaccarello who reported on the catwalk cult pieces Saint Laurent. Saint Laurent won the prize for the most spectacular location: under the moon at the Trocadero gardens with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
