Shazam for the Art world

An App by Magnus Resch

Shazam for the Art world An App by Magnus Resch

The sense of helplessness that caught us when we listened to a song in a room or on the radio, and we realised that, not knowing its title, we would have not listened to it anymore, has been overcome with the support of the legendary Shazam, so practical and easy to please our curiosity.

In comparison, however, the sense of loss we feel when we get into an art gallery, because we often don't know the author or the title of the works, seems even more exhausting.

But be careful: the solution may be around the corner. App Magnus, created by art entrepreneur Magnus Resch, has all the potential of Shazam with the difference that, instead of recording a track, you have to take a picture of the work you want to know about, and the information will be tracked within a rich database.

The project is definitely going to grow, as it goes well with the idea that art should be accessible to everyone, and should be a source of personal enrichment that must not leave gaps or concerns: art must be absorbed in its entirety, that is, with all its colours, shapes and meanings, and this new technological support seems to be an excellent tool to do it.
