LCS x LC23: In honor of the best New Sport Side

It was June 22th, the Azteca state of Mexico City seethed with heat and passion. The story that we all know: a cross to England's door is intercepted by the number 10 of the Argentine national team, which is small, but got a hand. The referee does not see it and assigns the goal. Only four minutes later the same number 10 takes the ball on the frontline, he turns in the middle of the three English players, he jumps one, then another, and before anyone could gather your breath ... the barrilete cosmico. In that day is consolidated the legend of that number 10. There will be difficult matches, but nothing will be enough to stop Argentina, which graduate itself World Champion.

Everyone has his memory of that World Cup, everyone his own story to tell. One of those who will feel more later was that of the jerseys of the Selecion Albiceleste. We are in the middle of the 80s in fact, back when the duopoly Nike-Adidas was hardly imaginable. Argentina comes to Mexico with a wonderful kits built by Le Coq Sportif. The French brand, as often happens, has opted for the simplicity: large lines, soft, V-neck, far away materials from ultra-light weight and breathability today. It was a different kind of football, you do not even need to be reminded here.

30 years after Le Coq Sportif proposes the iconic uniforms. It does so in partnership with the Italian brand LC23, which handled details and hand sewing labels on every garment neck, with the slogan: "handmade with love." LCS has instead built around the exclusive venue of Romilly sur Seine, where NSS Mag went months ago to attend the presentation of the new collections. Incidentally, this was one of the surprises to which reference was made in two days of that report.

Not only the shirt, the pack made by two brands is a 4 parts piece, including three crew neck sweatshirts. The LCS logos have been enlarged slightly in, but the proportions have not expenses. One of sweatshirts perfectly follows the concept of the uniform, another carries instead the name imprinted by French company. The last, then, is a tribute to the greatest, that Argentine number 10 who led the national Albiceleste and its relative shirt to victory. It's a sweatshirt in gray, basic, but impressed with a name, even a nickname: DIOS. Is that of the God of football, that of Diego Armando Maradona.
