Chapman Brothers for Supreme Five limited edition skateboard decks

Jake Chapman, born 1966, and Dinos Chapman, born 1962, are English visual artists, commonly known as the Chapman Brothers. Since 1991 they have been working together as a collaborative sibling duo. Both studied together at the Royal College of Art, during which time they worked as assistants to the renowned artistic duo of Gilbert & George.

The Chapman Brothers are a part of the Young British Artists movement of the 1990's along with Damien Hirst, Chris Ofili, and Tracey Emin, among others, and were participants in the two major internationally acclaimed surveys of the movement Brilliant! and Sensation. Their work is known to be offensive, vulgar, and often controversial. In past works the brothers have appropriated original watercolor paintings of Adolf Hitler’s, as well as a pristine collection of Francisco Goya’s etchings, which they defaced. Their work has also featured decapitated and mutilated bodies, as well as pornographic themes, nazism, death, sex, religion, and commercialism. The artists were nominated in 2003 for the prestigious Turner Prize, and are widely regarded as two of the most influential and important living artists.

Supreme will release a series of five limited edition skateboard decks designed by the Chapman Brothers.
