Sarà l’artista inglese Damien Hirst a disegnare la statuetta per i Brit Awards 2013. Dopo Peter Blake e Vivienne Westwood è il turno del quarantasettenne re Mida dell’arte. David Joseph, organizzatore della manifestazione commenta così la scelta di Hirst: “Damien è uno dei più importanti artisti inglesi. La sua reinvenzione della statuetta renderà la vincita del Brit 2013 un evento ancora più speciale”.
Il premio sarà bianco e ricoperto da una pioggia di pois colorati, marchio di fabbrica di Hirst.
The English artist Damien Hirst will design the statue for the 2013 Brit Awards. After Peter Blake and Vivienne Westwood now it’s the turn of the 47 years old king Mida of art.
“Damien is truly one of the most important British artists. His reimagining of the statue will make winning a 2013 Brit an even more special proposition.”
The award will be white and covered by a deluge of colorful spots, trademark of Hirst.
