The new Umbro x Asbury Park FC collection The legend continues

What is Asbury Park FC? According to the biography on their website: «Asbury Park Football Club (colloquially known as "The Tillies") is Asbury Park's most-storied sports franchise and New Jersey's second-best football club. Best-known for a string of trophies and hit singles in the 1950s, the club's culture is built around putting the performance art into the art of football».

The Asbury Park, therefore, is legend, art, memory, a piece of history that  lives in the present, and that, above all, cares about the aesthetics. For a while the club has tightened a partnership with Umbro, among the most historical soccer brands, that have brought to the release of some of the most beautiful uniforms in commerce. Besides, thanks also to Umbro, the club has found the way to begin the planning of the Samesong Stadium, that, in the words of the President of the Club Carter Youes-Em: "it is what our supporters deserve."

Some days ago Asbury Park has released the new capsules collection in collaboration with Umbro. It deals with two uniforms, you inspire a years '90, those more difficulties for the club. They have described it with this words, and we prefer to bring it in original version:

«In 1993 APFC was a team in exile. With dwindling crowds and a decrepit home ground in Asbury Park, the club spent the season barnstorming Europe and playing friendlies against the best 3rd and 4th tier competition the continent had to offer. Like Chelsea. Today, the club commemorates those dark days in the most beautifully gauche way possible: the APFC x Umbro 1993 Jersey. Dressed with a striking black & white pattern and the club's highly coveted “Heritage“ badge, the APFC x Umbro 1993 Jersey is nearly identical to the one worn by club legend Lou Mowbray on the day of his hat-trick vs. Rotherham and the night of his ejection from the Stone Pony».
