The Anderlecht jerseys dedicated to Art Nouveau
The architecture of Brussels is the protagonist on the Home and Away jerseys by Joma

The Art Nouveau is closely linked to the history of the Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht. In the year of the founding of the Brussels team, 1908, architects such as Victor Horta and Henry Van de Velde had just given a new face to the Belgian capital. Their style was called Art Nouveau, the new art, characterized by playful motifs and organic forms and a search for freedom and creativity. To pay homage to the style that defined the city, the Home and Away jerseys of RSC Anderlecht for the 2024/25 season, created by Joma, play with motifs that refer to the splendor of the past.
The Home jersey is in classic purple, with the club logo once again in the center of the chest. In the sleeves, you can recognize the typical Art Nouveau motifs in a tone-on-tone design. This season's Away jersey is white. On the sleeve, there is a thin silver floral ribbon. The names and numbers of the players are printed with a new unique font, created by the Belgian Studio Type, and it is a reworking of the typography from the golden age of Art Nouveau.
The starting point is the result of years of scientific research by the typographer Jo de Bardemaeker on historical characters, belonging to the Brussels foundry Vanderborght & Dumont. The campaign for the new Home and Away jerseys is a contemporary reinterpretation of Art Nouveau, more than a century after its heyday, through the most innovative generative technology of today. Imaginary football universes were created in the Art Nouveau style, integrating the club's players with artificial intelligence in a world that inspires dreaming.
