Symbols, colours and tradition. With these three words, Hellas Verona presented the new logo to celebrate the first 120 years since the club's foundation. Created in collaboration with Verona-based Studio Fantastico, the logo dedicated to 'Hellas 120' - the set of initiatives for this important anniversary - will be used on all of the club's online and offline channels in the week from 3 to 8 April. The culminating point will in fact be the match between Hellas Verona and Sassuolo, scheduled for Saturday 8 April at the 'Bentegodi', when the stadium will be dressed in yellow and blue to wish a happy birthday to the Veronese's favourite team. But in reality the entire week beginning 3 April will be dedicated to the club's 120th anniversary, with many other initiatives to be unveiled soon.

But beyond that, a very important discovery has been made that may rewrite a more than fundamental part of the club's history. The novelty, with respect to the club's most recent and most important anniversaries, is represented by a document found in recent months within the archives of the city's classical high school, which has allowed Hellas Verona to give a specific period, and not just a year, to the team's birth for the first time. This document, dated 16 April 1903 and signed by a collaborator of the school, contains an order for 'balls for the game of football', as 'the old ones no longer exist'. On 16 April 1903, therefore, football was certainly being played at the Liceo Ginnasio di Stato Scipione Maffei. The Society's intention was to find, based on this, a conventional date to share with anyone who at least once felt their heart beat for these colours, and the choice fell on 8 April.
