Tottenham signed a partnership with F1

After having put forward its candidature for the 2026 Super Bowl, Tottenham is ready to land in another sport, Formula 1. In fact, the Spurs have just in the last few days closed a 15-year deal with the famous automobile federation. The deal between the two parties includes the opening of the first electric karting facility inside the stadium and the longest indoor track in London, based under the huge South Stand of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The London club wants to make the most of the substantial investment made in the stadium a few years ago and exploit its multi-purpose nature, as it already hosts something like 16 non-football events a year. In addition to music concerts, the stadium also hosts matches of the English rugby team Saracens and from this week will also prepare for the arrival of the single-seaters. 

Stefano Domenicali,President and CEO, Formula 1, said: "As we continue to grow our sport around the world, partnering with world-class brands like Tottenham Hotspur allows us to bring Formula 1 and motorsport to a new and diverse audience. The karting experience will be a destination and a place that families, friends and aspiring drivers from around the world will want to visit and enjoy, engaging new audiences and providing an accessible access point to the world of motorsport."

The stadium will thus become a potential future venue for karting championship races at national level in the coming months. An initiative that Formula 1 wants to exploit in order to make its single-seaters more and more popular, following up on the revolution that began a few years ago with the overturning of the rules. A project that was also created to bring young people and possible future talents closer to this world, which is sometimes a little too selective and difficult to reach.
