Jamaica presented its new jersey on the catwalk During Wales Bonner's fashion show, which opened Paris Fashion Week

The worlds of football and fashion have never been so close, but to date no one has unveiled the next official jersey during a fashion show as Wales Bonner and adidas did yesterday at the opening of Paris Fashion Week. After adidas announced earlier this year that they had reached an agreement with the Jamaican federation to produce the jerseys for the Caribbean national team, they turned to the designer with whom they have had a long and successful working relationship. Thus, between Afrofuturism and formalwear, the two jerseys that the Jamaican players will wear in their next international challenges also appeared at the fashion show by Wales Bonner.

The home jersey is true to the colours of the Jamaican flag, with a yellow background and thin vertical stripes in green and black details. The away jersey, on the other hand, is a solid colour of mahogany brown, with sleeve and collar details in white, green and red. This is not the first time Wales Bonner has worked on football inspirations. In fact, with adidas, he has updated the brand's immense sports archive with the three stripes over the seasons, using mostly jerseys and tracksuits from the 1970s and designing some of the most coveted adidas Samba of all time, the trainer that started on the football pitches of the 1950 Brazilian World Cup and became the shoe to have in 2023.
