The most beautiful collaborations are perhaps the ones we least expect, and Zinedine Zidane in a Palace video enters the second of these categories. Instead, the transalpine star is perfectly at ease dribbling along with skateboarder Lucas Puig in a classic French rationalist villa wearing the clothes that will make up the upcoming collaboration between Palace and Y-3. Just to mark the 20th anniversary of the brand owned by adidas and designed by Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto, a wide-ranging collection featuring clothes, accessories, and footwear is set to be released. Among the many items already previewed on Palace's website are the football jersey featuring Yamamoto's rose and the Teamgeist ball, first used during the 2006 World Cup, with both brands' logos.

After starting the year by reviving its collaboration with Real Madrid, Y-3 decided to close the season by working together with the famous London streetwear brand fresh from the great success of its own collection with Gucci. At the same time, Zinedine Zidane after a stellar career on the field and another equally successful one on the bench, is becoming a true style icon also thanks to the return of the archive and design of the early 2000s. This is evidenced by the shots taken just a few days ago for the launch of the new gold adidas Predator Absolute boots and those again with Y-3's "20 Years: Re-coded" reprising a historic campaign that just turned two decades old.
