Japanese ideograms on the new Corinthians jersey Dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Club World Cup in Yokohama's victory

Among the many game jerseys that take advantage of an event or anniversary to make new designs, Corinthians' is one of the best seen so far this season. With the occasion of celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the Club World Cup victory at the International Stadium in Yokohama, Japan, over Chelsea thanks to Paolo Guerrero's decisive goal, the São Paulo-based club decided to use Japanese ideograms to characterize their third Nike-signed jersey. A truly unusual choice, the union between Brazil and Japan, but extraordinarily successful given also the success it is enjoying worldwide.

On a cream base, the black ideograms repeat the phrase "Aqui é Corinthians!", translatable as "Here is Corinthians," reiterating the proud identity of the last non-European team to have lifted the intercontinental trophy. But the chosen design is not just limited to the game jersey, but defines a capsule collection that also includes casual items such as jacket, pants, t-shirt, pants, and socks. After many uninspired jerseys with designs already seen, Corinthians has revitalized a landscape, that of third jerseys, proving that very different worlds and cultures can get along.
