Yesterday Palermo returned to smile, celebrate and embrace, three years after bankruptcy yesterday the Rosanero returned to Serie B after beating Padova by one goal to nil, both in the first leg and in the return. A result that came thanks to the goals of Brunori, who carried the team on his shoulders in times of difficulty, scoring 29 goals in 47 games, practically more than Immobile (Serie A's top scorer) and any other Italian striker in any league. For Palermo to miss the appointment with promotion was almost impossible, strong from the first leg advantage, yesterday the rosanero for 90 minutes were pushed by 35 thousand who never stopped inciting and supporting the team, accompanying them to victory and final consecration.

Of course, as was to be expected, at the final whistle people poured into the streets, celebrating a promotion that marks the definitive rebirth of the Rosanero club, which in a few days could pass into the hands of the City Football Group, seriously interested in acquiring it. As happened in Milan and Rome for their respective celebrations, from the Cathedral to the Vucciria, even in the Sicilian capital all the symbolic places were tinged pink, becoming a sort of Barbera branch. A party that went on for hours and that will certainly not stop because after dark years, Palermo has returned to dreaming and no longer wants to wake up.
