Inside Milan's Scudetto party in the streets of the city centre After 11 years, the Rossoneri returned to win the Scudetto

After 11 years of suffering and periods in which the team seemed to have lost its way, yesterday Milan overcame the last hurdle of the season in Reggio Emilia and won the Scudetto on the final day. A victory that had been missing for some time and always came with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the helm, who was present both 11 years ago at the San Siro and yesterday at the Mapei Stadium, where he celebrated with a cigar in true Micheal Jordan style. Inter's victory against Sampdoria was of no use. In the first half-hour the Rossoneri had already secured the match with Giroud's double, foreshadowing that there would be no room for last-minute surprises or sensational overtaking. In fact, Milan came onto the pitch with a mad desire to win, nipping in the bud any initiative from Berardi and his team-mates, who were defenceless against Leao's raids.

A Scudetto that is already history and that is partly thanks to Pioli and the entire management, who have built a strong but above all young team (26 is the average age), capable of not making two players considered fundamental for the Scudetto dream, Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Gianluigi Donnarumma, regret it. An important revenge for a coach who until two years ago was considered a good manager, who even had to give way to Ralf Rangnick and his revolutionary project.

The celebrations were obviously not long in coming, already from the 0-2 the fans' joy exploded in the city, from the Duomo to the Navigli passing by Casa Milan, the city, predictably, was painted red. The streets of the city centre were filled with Milan fans, eager to take back the city and assert their dominance over it after the celebrations that saw Inter play a leading role last season. Tractors, scarves, smoke bombs, coloured cars, yesterday in Milan nothing was missing. In Porta Romana there was a projection on the arch by PUMA that read: 'Win like 19 Milan'.

We were there, and thanks to Federico Gea's lens, we managed to capture the most iconic and crazy moments of a Scudetto that was awaited, wanted, sought and finally deservedly won on the field.
