Nova Venécia, the Brazilian team inspired by Venezia

This year, one of the jerseys that have won over fans, newspapers and rankings is undoubtedly the one produced by Kappa for Venezia. From the first to the fourth jersey, the Lagunari surprised everyone with their colours, patterns and collaborations that made the jerseys that marked the return of the Arancieroverdi to the top Italian league more than special and unobtainable. And in light of all the success, there could not have been a better year to create a jersey inspired by the colours and the city of Venice. This is what they did in Brazil, specifically in Nova Venécia, a municipality in the state of Espírito Santo, where the team of the same name decided to design the third jersey inspired by the first one of Venezia. The reason is not only due to the success of the Italian club, but also has its roots in history. The Brazilian team, which plays in Serie D, was in fact founded by immigrants from the Veneto region, which is why it decided to call itself "New Venezia" and then, in agreement with Icona, the club's technical sponsor, to partially replicate the splendid first jersey of the Italian team. 

The jersey, as you can see from the photos, is black in base, with a pattern very similar to that of the lagoon players that takes up the surfaces of the facades of the ancient Venetian palaces captured in photographs taken around the lagoon. As in the one worn by the Italian club, the Brazilian club's jersey also features gold elements which, unlike the original, are not inspired by the city's monuments, churches and palaces, but rather take up another extremely important symbol of Venice, the lion. Similarities and peculiarities that obviously couldn't fail to attract attention, especially when talking about Venezia, the true revelation of this Serie A.
