The repercussions of the global sanctions against Russia continue. On Thursday, the British government passed new restrictions on Russian oligarchs, in particular Roman Abramovich, owner of Chelsea, who is considered to be one of the men close to Putin. The government froze all income to the London club, blocking all sales, including both the store and the tickets, in fact only those fans who bought season tickets at the beginning of the year will be able to attend matches at the stadium. Sanctions that have also led the sponsor "3" to withdraw, the company that operates in the internet and telecommunications sector has in fact asked the blues to remove the logo from the blues jerseys, a bit 'as did the Schalke 04 with Gazprom that because of the links of the latter with the Russian government was replaced with a patch from the shirt of the Germans. The problem is that the London team cannot order new jerseys as all funds are blocked and cannot modify in any way the ones they already have, as the "3" symbol being printed is impossible to remove. The design of the blues' jersey does the rest, patching the beautiful Optical Art inspired design of the jersey would be aesthetically a big own goal, a path that not even Chelsea has decided to take.

Meanwhile, in recent days more and more entrepreneurs are showing a concrete interest in Chelsea, although no offer has yet arrived since every transaction both in and out for the Blues is officially blocked. A very delicate situation that could have disastrous consequences for the club, winner of the last Champions League and World Champion a few months ago. First of all because the club will not be able to renew the contracts expiring this season of: Rudiger, Saul, Christensen and Azpilicueta and if they do not pay the players' salaries they could face other heavy penalties with the players being free to walk away. While waiting to see how the situation will evolve, players and coaches are however determined to continue the season, Tuchel yesterday during a press conference, the coach said he was willing to drive a bus to take the players on away trips should the club's plane also be seized.
