Who could be the next Jordan-sponsored team? The exclusivity agreement with PSG will expire this summer

As we anticipated a few days ago Jordan brand is thinking of expanding its roster in the world of football, which until now has not been able to do because of an exclusive contract with Paris Saint Germain. Precisely for this reason, the brand founded by M.J. Jordan does not seem willing to renew its relationship with PSG or at least not with the same terms of the last four years. The non-renewal has generated a possible totonomi on who will be the next team to repeat the successful operation undertaken by the Parisians four years with Jumpman. For obvious reasons, only teams linked to Nike will be able to take part in this race, but not all, certainly only the top ones. In Italy there is not much choice since the only team to be sponsored by the swoosh is Inter, which could be the perfect candidate since before the pandemic the intentions of its president were to create something PSG-style but with Palm Angels. And in England there are obviously more possibilities with Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea, and given their successes in recent years, from the Scudetto to the Champions League and the latest World Cup victory, they could be the perfect team to work with. It is impossible not to mention Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, two of Nike's top Spanish teams that would be for Jordan.

There are also more remote hypotheses, due to the coat of arms of the teams and nothing else, concerning Leipzig and Galatasaray, always two top teams but who have never managed to impose themselves at European level. The non-renewal is more than surprising news, given the numerous collaborations designed by Jordan brand for the Parisian club, which have benefited both. A collaboration that has become such a case history that it has even been studied at Harvard, but which after four years may be coming to an end. Who knows what the next steps will be for Jordan, who has decided to aim straight at the world of football, after the long and convincing collaboration with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi's team.
