To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the historic collaboration between adidas and Yohji Yamamoto, who with Y-3 launched one of the first collections that intertwined sport and fashion. The campaign "20 Years: Re-coded" has an exceptional protagonist who has always accompanied the brand in its evolution: Zinedine Zidane.

The French star has lent himself to the lens of London photographer Gabriel Moses for a series of shots and a short film that highlight all the austere and monochrome elegance of the brand thanks to the choice of black and white. Zidane is the perfect testimonial for Y-3, having already appeared in numerous campaigns and having also attended some fashion shows, in addition to having demonstrated on the field the same qualities that we usually associate with Yohji Yamamoto's lines: cleanliness, elegance and class. 

For the campaign's creative director, Jamie Reid, "it represents a unique moment to reflect on the iconic relationship between Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3. Combining one of the greatest soccer players of all time along with Gabriel Moses, a fantastic artist of this generation, offers a fresh take on the brand's past, present and future." 

Indeed, Y-3 seems ready to take on new challenges, so much so that rumors have recently come out that the collaboration with Real Madrid could return, after the very successful one in 2014-15. The choice of Zizou in this case would take on an additional meaning.
