Mitre has revived the historic Permawhite Max ball A limited edition to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ronnie Radford's goal, a semi-professional footballer who eliminated Newcastle United from the 1972 FA Cup

The history of English soccer is made up of muddy pitches, driving rain and screamers from outside the box. One of the most famous of these was taken on February 5, 1972 by Ronnie Radford, a part-time footballer who at the time wore the jersey of Hereford United, a team that played in the English fifth division, against Newcastle United. A game and a goal that have remained in history, marking the most unpredictable elimination in the history of the FA Cup, a competition that always holds great surprises since Nottingham Forest has just eliminated the defending champions Leicester City.

The ball thrown into the net by Ronnie Radford from over twenty-five meters was a Permawhite Max by the English brand Mitra, which to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the event has decided to create a Limited Edition of 150 pieces for collectors. Made with panels of authentic leather and hand-stitched to maintain the same manufacturing quality as the original, the Permawhite Max is not just a ball but a piece of soccer history.

Available in size 5 in a numbered edition and delivered in its presentation box, it comes out February 11 on Mitre's website, here
